Terms of Use

Effective Date: September 22, 2026

Welcome to Solene Psychiatry & Wellness. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of solenepsych.com and its website content, features, and resources.

By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website.

1. Website Information Is Not Medical Advice

The information provided on this website is intended for general educational and informational purposes only.

Website content should not be considered medical advice, psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment and should not be used as a substitute for evaluation or treatment by a qualified healthcare professional.

Individual treatment decisions should be made in consultation with an appropriately licensed healthcare professional who can evaluate your individual circumstances.

2. No Patient-Provider Relationship

Visiting this website, completing a website self-check, submitting an inquiry, requesting an appointment, sending a referral, or communicating with Solene Psychiatry & Wellness through general website features does not, by itself, establish a patient-provider relationship.

A treatment relationship is established only after appropriate intake and clinical processes have been completed and Solene Psychiatry & Wellness has accepted you for care.

Submitting an appointment request does not guarantee that an appointment will be scheduled or that the practice will be able to provide treatment.

3. Not for Emergencies

This website is not intended for medical or psychiatric emergencies and is not continuously monitored.

If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, a mental health crisis, or emotional distress and need immediate crisis support, you may call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Do not use website contact forms, email, or routine patient messages for urgent or emergency situations.

4. Eligibility and Location of Care

Solene Psychiatry & Wellness provides outpatient psychiatric services to adults age 18 and older.

Telepsychiatry services are available to eligible patients who are physically located in a jurisdiction where the treating provider is authorized to provide care at the time of the appointment.

For Solene's current practice, telepsychiatry is offered to eligible adults located in California, with in-person appointments available in Newport Beach, California.

Telehealth care is subject to applicable consent, privacy, professional practice, and standard-of-care requirements. California treats telehealth as a modality for delivering healthcare rather than a separate type of care. (Medical Board of California)

5. Appointment Requests

Online scheduling and appointment-request features are provided for convenience.

Submission of a request does not guarantee:

  • Acceptance as a patient;

  • A particular appointment date or time;

  • A particular diagnosis or treatment;

  • Prescription of any medication;

  • Prescription of a controlled substance;

  • Eligibility for TMS, Spravato® (esketamine), or another specific treatment; or

  • Insurance coverage or reimbursement.

Clinical recommendations are made following an appropriate evaluation and are based on the provider's professional judgment and the patient's individual circumstances.

6. Prescriptions and Controlled Medications

Scheduling a psychiatric evaluation does not guarantee that medication will be prescribed.

When medication is clinically appropriate, treatment decisions are made following an individualized assessment and in accordance with applicable professional standards and federal and state requirements.

Requests for a particular medication, including stimulant, benzodiazepine, or other controlled medication, do not guarantee that the medication will be prescribed.

7. Mental Health Self-Checks

Solene Psychiatry & Wellness may make screening questionnaires or mental health self-checks available through the website.

These tools are intended for educational and informational purposes only. Results:

  • Do not constitute a psychiatric diagnosis;

  • Do not replace a comprehensive clinical evaluation;

  • Should not be interpreted as a definitive determination that you do or do not have a mental health condition; and

  • Do not establish a patient-provider relationship.

A screening result should be interpreted within the context of a person's symptoms, history, functioning, medical conditions, and other relevant clinical information.

8. TMS and Spravato®

Information on this website regarding Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato® (esketamine) is provided for educational purposes.

These treatments are not appropriate for every patient and require an individualized clinical evaluation.

When clinically appropriate, TMS and Spravato® evaluation and treatment may be coordinated through Kristy Lomas's affiliation with SoCal TMS. References to these treatments on the Solene website should not be interpreted as a guarantee of eligibility or treatment.

9. Insurance, Self-Pay and Superbills

Information regarding insurance participation, fees, reimbursement, and availability may change.

Solene Psychiatry & Wellness is currently credentialing with select insurance plans. Participation with a particular insurance plan should not be assumed unless confirmed by the practice and the patient's insurance carrier.

Patients are responsible for confirming their individual insurance benefits and financial responsibility.

For eligible self-pay services, a superbill may be available upon request for submission to an insurance plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Providing a superbill does not guarantee reimbursement.

10. Website Communications

General website forms and ordinary email should not be used to communicate highly sensitive clinical information unless Solene specifically instructs you to use that method.

Established patients should use the designated secure patient portal when appropriate for clinical communications.

Routine electronic communications are not continuously monitored and should not be used for emergencies.

11. Privacy

Your use of this website is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

Information relating to healthcare and protected health information may additionally be governed by Solene Psychiatry & Wellness's Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable federal and California privacy laws.

HIPAA requires covered healthcare providers maintaining qualifying websites to make their Notice of Privacy Practices available through the website. (HHS.gov)

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

The website may contain links to or integrate with third-party resources, including scheduling platforms, patient portals, telehealth services, educational resources, screening resources, or other websites.

Solene Psychiatry & Wellness does not control independent third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices.

13. Educational Content and Social Media

Educational information published by Solene Psychiatry & Wellness on this website, social media accounts, newsletters, videos, or other public platforms is intended for general informational purposes.

Such content is not individualized medical advice and does not establish a patient-provider relationship.

Do not delay seeking professional healthcare because of information you have read on this website or Solene's social media channels.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, original text, graphics, branding, logos, design elements, and other original materials appearing on this website are owned by or licensed to Solene Psychiatry & Wellness and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

15. Website Availability and Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate and current website information. However, healthcare information, practice policies, fees, availability, insurance participation, and external resources may change.

We do not guarantee that every portion of the website will always be complete, current, error-free, or continuously available.

16. Changes to These Terms

Solene Psychiatry & Wellness may update these Terms of Use periodically to reflect changes in our website, services, policies, or applicable requirements.

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
